Abdul Rahman
I'm a Master's student of Energy AI at KENTECH and a Graduate Researcher at the ENVI Lab, supervised by Prof. Bumshik Lee, where I focus on generative modeling to solve real-world challenges in healthcare, autonomous systems, and multimedia. My research utilizes advanced generative frameworks to develop robust solutions for complex tasks like medical anomaly detection and high-fidelity image synthesis.
Beyond academia, I co-founded Yumkins, a food-tech startup in Pakistan, in 2022, where I led the marketing and financial operations. I now remain involved as a co-founding advisor, helping guide the brand's growth alongside my academic pursuits.

Alongside research, I'm deeply interested in the
startup ecosystem, particularly how early-stage
companies build sustainable business models from scratch. My experience
co-founding Yumkins
gave me a hands-on understanding of what it takes to grow a brand from
an idea to a market-ready product, and I continue to apply that mindset
across the work I do.
What I genuinely enjoy is the mix of strategy, marketing, and
finance that goes into building something from zero. I spend
a lot of my free time digging into startup case studies, pulling apart
how a company found its first customers, why a pricing model worked or
didn't, what made a brand stick. New startup ideas catch my attention
quickly, and I love thinking through the "what if" of them, whether or
not they ever turn into anything.
If you're into research, startups, working on something, or just like
talking about this stuff, I'd love to swap notes.
